Mortgage rates tipped for February rise

Mortgage rates are tipped to rise in February despite Kevin Rudd being swept to power at Saturday's federal election.
The Australian economy continues to boom with the latest Australian bureau of statistic figures showing that construction rose 2.8 per cent in the September quarter.
With unemployment figures so low the inflation rate is sure to be under pressure again shortly after Christmas with the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) not backward in stepping forward to lift the official interest rate as it did after their board meeting on Melbourne Cup Day.
